shehive meetup: women redefining difference

  • Thirsty Scholar 111 E. 16th St. Indianapolis, IN (map)

We're diving back into Sister Outsider, a collection of essays by Audre Lorde. Together, we've read and discussed "The Master's Tools" and "Uses of the Erotic". On Sunday, February 28th 3pm at Thirsty Scholar, we're thinking and talking through "Age, Race, Class, and Sex". The essay can be found on our website at Download the PDF file of Sister Outsider, the scroll to page 383 of the document (or page 114 of Sister Outsider, the second book included in the document).

Meetups are a gender neutral, child-friendly space to safely discuss gender issues in pop culture. Feel free to attend even if you're unable to read the essay as the conversation will be inclusive. We have BOTH large tables by the window reserved! See you there!
